Step - 1
1 - Preheat the oven at 180C (gas mark 4).
2 - Separate the eggs and beat the whites with the pinch of salt and one teaspoon of baking powder until stiff.
Step - 2
1 - Sift the flour, cocoa, sugar and baking powder in a separate bowl.
2 - Add the egg yellows, oil, vanilla essence and boiling water.
3 - Beat for 7 - 10 minutes with an electric beater.
4 - Fold the mixture into the egg whites.
Step - 3
1 - Bake in an un-greased tin for 40 minutes at 180C.
