Step - 1 | Preperations

1 - Preheat the oven at 180C (gas mark 4).

Step - 2 | Make the cake batter

Butter

150 gram Butter

Eggs

2 whole Eggs

Lemon

1 whole Lemon

Milk

1/4 cup Milk

Salt

1 pinch Salt

Sugar

175 gram Sugar

1 - Whisk the eggs and sugar together. Add the lemon zest butter and salt.

2 - Fold in the flour and milk.

3 - Cook for 40min.

Step - 3 | Prepare the syrup

Icing Sugar

175 gram Icing Sugar

1 - To make the syrup to drizzle on top of the cake, gently warm up the lemon juice and the icing sugar for 10min. Stir regularly and don't let it boil.

Step - 4 | Finishing

1 - Prick the cake whilst it is still warm and slowly poor the syrup over it.
